Wondering what's involved in building your dream home? Astoria will guide you through the process and make the experience of building your custom home as enjoyable as living in it. The following are the major steps in the process:

Discovery.

A knowledgeable Astoria Sales Professional will help you define what you want from the style of home to your desired location. The first step to building the home of your dreams is to choose your perfect property. You may already own land or you may choose to make your selection from one of our communities' prestigious lots.

Design.

Once land is selected, we work with you to design your custom home. Bring us your plans or work with ours. When you build with Astoria you meet directly with our in-house designer to create a home that suits your lifestyle. We'll even show it to you in a virtual design program that enables you to see it in 3D before it's built. When we're done, your home will be exactly what you want.

Pricing.

After your home is designed, you get to personalize the style and finish. With the design and specifications complete, we provide you with a fixed price to build your new home. The price we quote is the price you pay. The price will not change unless you decide to make modifications. You are in complete control, as nothing is done without your consent.

Construction & Communication.

Once the design and specification details are finalized and a deposit has been made, we break ground and construction begins. We know this is your home, so we keep you involved throughout the construction process to make sure every detail is exactly as you want it. This includes:

  • Plan review with construction staff
  • Framing review on-site
  • Electrical review on-site
  • Finishing review on-site
  • Prepossession review on-site
  • Additional site and office meetings as required

Details.

A professional designer with Rosswest Interiors will work with you to help choose your finishes and interior selections ensuring your home turns out just the way you want it.

Possession.

You can expect to take possession of your dream home within 8 - 12 months from the time construction begins depending on the size and details of your home.

Service.

At Astoria Custom Homes we are committed to providing exceptional service to you by providing a full 2 year builder warranty on your new home. Our goal is to ensure that your finished home is covered from defects in workmanship and materials long after you take possession. As an accredited member of the Alberta New Home Warranty Program, a 5 year structural warranty is also included with the purchase of your Astoria Custom Home. After possession, our Astoria service team will contact you at 30 day, 90 day, 1 year and 2 year intervals to conduct and complete service inspections.
