Astoria Group Charity Classic

Thank you for your support. We are pleased to announce that Astoria Group Charity Golf Tournament had raised $110,000 for ARBI (Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured).

Everyone knows someone who has been affected by a traumatic brain injury; whether from a stroke, motor vehicle accident or fall just to name a few of the causes. A few of the statistics of brain injuries include:

  • Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause – accounting for at least 50 per cent of all traumatic brain injuries
  • Two-third who sustain a traumatic brain injury are under 30
  • Young men aged 15 to 24 are most at risk for traumatic brain injury
  • Forty to fifty thousand Canadians suffer a stroke annually
